The GSW e-journal platform is the comprehensive Internet resource for research and communications in the geosciences, built on a core database aggregation of peer-reviewed journals indexed, linked, and interoperable with GeoRef.
Since 2000, GSW has pursued a vision to make earth science research information easily and economically available via the internet. Since then, GSW has evolved into a highly-regarded scientific research collaborative. Today, GSW delivers integrated access to 45 online journals (110,000+ articles) from 28 pre-eminent publishers, enhanced with specialized tools developed in partnership with Google Maps™ and AGI’s GeoRef, and serves millions of users each year in 40 countries worldwide.
GSW publishers may include nonprofit scientific societies or organizations, university presses, or commercial publishers agreeing to work within the GSW framework. GSW’s founding publishers are among the oldest and largest not-for-profit geoscience organizations in the world, with a long history of successful publication of basic and applied research results and public education materials.
