2.1.3 transmit to a non-commercial library single items of Content only for personal educational, scientific, or research purposes, within the guidelines of traditional interlibrary loan practices and applicable copyright laws. Such transmission shall be by post, fax or secure electronic transmission,
e.g. Ariel or NILDE or other prevailing technology; the electronic file must retain the relevant copyright notice and be deleted after printing. The right set out in this clause does not extend to centralized ordering facilities, such as document delivery systems, nor the distribution of copies in such quantities as to substitute for a subscription or purchase of the distributed Content.

2.1.1 incorporate persistent links on Licensee’s secure websites to the Content in full text format on the Platforms
2.2.3 use single articles, chapters or other individual items of the Content for the preparation of academic course materials with all rights notices duly presented. Licensee may distribute single copies of individual articles or items of the Content in print or electronic form to Authorized Users. For the avoidance of doubt, classroom handouts shall include the distribution of a copy for teaching purposes to Authorized Users in a class. Authorized users may also incorporate parts of the Content in printed or electronic form in assignments, portfolios, theses, dissertations, teaching, conference presentations, and lectures, with appropriate credit
For Nature branded journals
Licensee shall have Continuing Access to all Content of each Subscribed Journal first published during the Term and, on a one-time basis only, in the 12-month period immediately preceding the Term, subject to all terms and conditions of this License Agreement. For clarification, 2019 titles will have Continuing Access to 2018 and 2019, and access during the Term to 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017. Subscriptions activated prior to 2018 will have Continuing Access to years subscribed and transition to 2014 access from the four year rolling access model.
All Continuing Access rights guaranteed in previous License Agreements that guarantee access beyond the new model shall be honored in this License Agreement, specifically in the January 1, 2007 license, Agreement Ref No. 009175".
For Nature Academic and Palgrave Journals
Continuing Access Journals: During the Term, Licensee shall have access to the Continuing Access Journals listed in Section 3.1 first published during the Term. After the Term, Licensee shall have Continuing Access to the Continuing Access Journals first published during the Term, subject to all the terms and conditions of this License Agreement.
All Continuing Access rights guaranteed in previous License Agreements that guarantee access beyond the new model shall be honored in this License Agreement, specifically in the January 1, 2007 license, Agreement Ref No. 009175”.
Backfile Access During the Term: In addition, during the Term only, Licensee will be granted access to the Content of titles listed in Sections 3.1 and 3.2 published beginning 1997 (or, if later, first date of publication).
