The content of the annual archive may also be made available for download/retrieval via other means as mutually agreed upon by the Participating Member and Project MUSE.

The Participating Member may perpetually use the LOCKSS system to archive and restore journal content, so long as use is otherwise consistent with this Agreement. Journal content may be made available to other LOCKSS system Participating Members who indicate a right to the subscribed journal content.

Clarification on PDF versus link in ereserves: from Project Muse May 2017:  We request that links be used in course systems rather than full text, because usage statistics are an imporant part of both our publisher royalty model and our library pricing model. Library pricing placement relies in part on historical usage, so if we cannot see all of an institution’s usage on our servers they may be improperly placed, More importantly, journal publishers are paid royalty from MUSE based in large part on the usage of their content, so it is very important that we be able to log usage of that content on our servers so that we may fairly and appropriately compensate publishers for their content’s use. Use of content for course readings is particularly important to publishers so we strongly request that students be directed to link to the content our servers where we can record the usage.
