Y. G. Rancourt (they/them) is joining COPPUL as Digital Stewardship Network Coordinator.
Y. G. comes to COPPUL from the Digital Research Alliance of Canada where they have been employed since 2020, originally as a member of the data curation team before taking on the role of Preservation Coordinator. In these roles, they supported the strategic, administrative, and technical functions of the Alliance’s Federated Research Data Repository (FRDR) and coordinated the work of the Preservation Expert Group. Prior to their Alliance work, amongst a number of other roles, Y. G. was a Digital Preservation Assistant at the University of British Columbia Library's Digitization Centre and a solo librarian at the Bamfield Marine Sciences Centre on Vancouver Island. Y. G. completed their MAS and MLIS at UBC in 2020.
