Collections Community

Collections Community

The COPPUL Collections Community is a network of librarians and library staff engaged in collections work across COPPUL member and affiliate institutions. It provides a space for members to exchange ideas, share information and developments, and identify areas of common interest related to collections development and management.

The Community serves as a forum for sharing information about collection management issues, emerging practices, and developments related to licensing and electronic resources at both the institutional and consortium levels. It also provides opportunities to identify and discuss topics for professional development, presentations, and other activities that support collections work across the membership.

The Community is supported primarily through the COPPUL Collections listserv and related professional development activities. Participation is open to any interested individual working at a COPPUL member or affiliate library. To join the listserv, please contact either the COPPUL Executive Director or Licensing Coordinator.

Collections Community Planning Subcommittee

The Collections Community Planning Subcommittee supports the work of the broader Collections Community. As a subcommittee of the COPPUL Collections Standing Committee (CCSC), it helps identify topics of interest to the Community and organizes professional development events, presentations, discussions, and other forums in response to member interests and emerging collections issues.
