New CDSN Digital Preservation Coordinator!

December 13, 2019

COPPUL is pleased to welcome Rebecca Dickson as our new Digital Preservation Coordinator. Rebecca will be based in Vancouver, B.C., where she is currently a Digital Repository Librarian at the University of British Columbia Library. In that role, she is responsible for overseeing the technical infrastructure behind the Library’s institutional repository, cIRcle, and developing workflows to support the long-term stewardship of digital content.

She will continue to work in this role part-time until March 2020 at which time she will move over to COPPUL full time. She brings strong expertise in digital preservation, web archiving, metadata, and systems from previous roles in UBC Library’s Digital Initiatives and IT Web Services. She looks forward to collaborating with the CDSN and its partners to build capacity for digital preservation across COPPUL member institutions. Rebecca holds a Master of Library and Information Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of British Columbia.

Rebecca can be reached at cdsn@coppul.ca. Tel number tbd.

We very much look forward to working with Rebecca and to continue the great work that has already been accomplished with the CDSN program.
