Vault

Internet Archive's Vault is a digital preservation storage service that offers a range of features and multiple ways to deposit, manage, and download content stored in the service. 

Features include no less than 3 copies of data stored in 2 separate physical locations within Internet Archive-owned data centres in Canada, drag-and-drop deposit via web uploader or the command line, fixity auditing and repair of deposited data, a dashboard for collection management and viewing reporting and analytic information, user administration and access controls including a "viewer role" that can be limited to specific collections, technical support from the Vault team, and more.

Eligibility and Pricing

The Vault pricing model is based on a one-time fee per terabyte (1024 GB) or half terabyte (512 GB) of data storage. The one-time fee includes storage in perpetuity per the terms of service, with no annual storage or access fees and no additional fees for data egress or download. COPPUL members are eligible for discounted pricing and may purchase Vault data storage at any time. COPPUL members can access the purchase offer via Consortia Manager and view the attached Vault Memorandum of Agreement for a full description of features and service details.
