Announcing COPPUL’s new Licensing Coordinator

We are delighted to announce that Alex Homanchuk will be joining COPPUL on July 1 as our new Licensing Coordinator. Alex is based in Peterborough, Ontario, where he is currently serving as Discovery & Systems Librarian at Trent University. Alex brings many years of professional experience in managing electronic resources, including leading collection development, licensing, and access initiatives at the University of Winnipeg and, more recently, at OCAD University as Head, E-Resources & E-Learning Support from 2012 to 2021. He has contributed to consortial working groups in areas of licensing negotiations and strategic resource allocation to achieve shared objectives, and brings skills and expertise in copyright, library systems and finance along with e-resource licensing.
