VANCOUVER July 20, 2017 - The COPPUL community responded with great enthusiasm to last month’s call for nominations to the COPPUL Digital Preservation Network (COPPUL DPN) Steering Committee.
The COPPUL DPN works to build capacity for digital preservation at member institutions by offering world-class preservation infrastructure, education opportunities and advocacy resources, and by connect local digital preservation activities with regional, national, and international efforts.
The COPPUL DPN Steering Committee is responsible for overseeing this critically important initiative by providing expert guidance and strategic insight to the COPPUL DPN Coordinator, Executive Director, and the Board.
We are very pleased to announce membership of the Steering Committee as follows:
Each of these Steering Committee members brings significant expertise and experience on the range of issues within the Committee’s mandate. In addition, a number of subcommittees or working groups will be formed by the Committee, and nominees from COPPUL member institutions will be invited to join these groups in due course.
The Steering Committee will meet for the first time on September 13th in Calgary, to select a Chair and develop strategic priorities for the COPPUL DPN moving forward.
