CDSN Knowledge Exchange: Call for Proposals

March 4, 2026

The CDSN Community of Practice is planning a Digital Stewardship Knowledge Exchange event for Wednesday, April 29, 2026

Registration will open in mid-April. The program and additional details will be shared on the CDSN Community of Practice Planning Committee website (https://coppul.ca/preservation/cdsn-community-of-practice/) at that time.

Call for Proposals

Inspired by the SkillShare events organized by COPPUL’s Scholarly Communications Working Group, the CDSN Community of Practice Planning Committee is hosting a Digital Stewardship Knowledge Exchange event for digital stewardship professionals working across all the phases of the digital object lifecycle, from digital preservationists, to research data managers, web archivists, digital repository maintainers, and more.

Our inaugural event is an opportunity for professionals interested in data stewardship in Western Canada to come together and share insights, experiences, and best practices. Sessions may include hands-on workshops, panels, lightning talks, and group discussions that are focused on practical skills and emerging trends.

The Digital Stewardship Knowledge Exchange will be largely participant-guided. If there is a digital stewardship topic that you want to know more about, add it to the table in our Call for Participation document here: 2026 Knowledge Exchange - Call for Participation

If you are knowledgeable in any of the topics and are willing to participate as a panelist or discussion leader, add your name and email address to the list and a member of the Planning Committee will get back to you.

If you would like to submit a proposal for a presentation, lightning talk, or workshop please complete our Google Form here: https://forms.gle/HTLufdJWqSU7ATHk7

If you have any questions or would prefer to share your session information with us directly via email, please contact Y.G. Rancourt, CDSN Coordinator at cdsn@coppul.ca

Deadline to submit: April 1, 2026
