COPPUL is happy to announce that we have joined the National Digital Stewardship Alliance (NDSA)! The NDSA is a consortium of organizations committed to the long-term preservation of digital information with a mission to establish, maintain, and advance the capacity to preserve digital resources for the benefit of present and future generations.
COPPUL's participation in this important initiative connects our 22 members in Western Canada with over 160 NDSA member organizations in the United States, including universities, government and nonprofit organizations, commercial businesses, and professional associations, all active in the field of digital preservation. We'll also benefit from NDSA's extensive network of experts and be able to engage with colleagues in the U.S. through participation on various interest groups.
We're looking forward to the opportunity to connect with our neighbours to the south in a collective effort to preserve critical digital content for present and future generations.
