Sheila Laroque-Bear will be starting with COPPUL on May 15th, 2026 as the new Indigenous Knowledges Coordinator. Sheila is currently working as an Assistant Librarian at the University of Saskatchewan, where she serves as liaison for Indigenous studies and government information, and program steward for the Indigenous Storyteller in Residence Program. Sheila also serves as Chair of the North/Nord Indigenous Works stream, a role she has held since 2022.
To her work with COPPUL, Sheila brings a network of strong relationships throughout the COPPUL community and beyond. She is excited to engage with the COPPUL Indigenous Knowledge Standing Committee (IKSC) and broader COPPUL community.
