Comprehensive policy templates and other documentation is available to support institutions interested in pursuing CoreTrustSeal certification or simply getting started in developing their own policies for Borealis. Documentation is available in English and French, and covers areas such as data deposit, curation, preservation, and deaccession.

Affiliate membership is open to the library of any non-profit Canadian college or university. Membership inquiries are welcome--please contact cdsn@coppul.ca or execdir@coppul.ca.
Pricing is primarily based on CRKN tiers.
Fees for non-CRKN banded institutions are based on student FTE.

The Borealis subscription term currently runs May 1, 2026-April 30, 2027, but new participants are welcome throughout the year. Please contact Y.G. Rancourt, CDSN Coordinator, to initiate or discuss the sign-up process.
New subscribers will be provided with a short online sign-up form to complete. This collects information necessary for setting up and provisioning access to your Borealis instance. To support planning, we recommend providing this information at least 5-10 business days prior to your desired start date.
